I understand you're Zane's Warden. My name's Kelsier. He's not exactly the talkative type so I don't know if he told you about me. I'm a Mistborn from his world. I'm also a Warden here.

Zane asked to spar. I have no problem with that as long as we do it in CES, with your permission. If it goes well, I might see about him helping prepare some of these people for this.... vague but impending threat.

My name is Kelsier. [He wears his mistcloak pretty much all the time now. He smiles to the video feed.] I would like to help those who want it, to prepare for what's coming. How to fight an opponent with skills you don't possess. My training techniques are bit... unorthodox.

Sparring is fine, but I really don't approve of this other plan. You could seriously hurt someone, which is just going make them all the more vulnerable when we do end up in port.

There are plenty of other ways to teach them how to defend themselves that don't involve frightening them with your abilities. [This is a Personal Issue for him. B(]

I am open to alternative suggestions. This plan is something to give them the ability to not be paralyzed by fear. To think clearly when its most needed.

I intend to present a fearful situation while I soothe that fear. Fear can be a motivator but too much is a paralytic. I want them to have the right balance to act.

That's what the CTS is for, with the added benefit that it adapts to your skill level and won't end in someone panicking and causing you serious injury.

Zane also isn't allowed access to metals besides tin and copper unless they're provided by me until I'm certain he isn't going to use them to harm other people. As it's already been a bit of an issue, I hope you'll respect that.

Before he came here, probably, unless he's got someone supplying it. He hasn't asked for it specifically. Why?

[Oh he doesn't like that Zane hasn't asked.] He's been a Mistborn longer than I have but I don't think he ever had another Mistborn train him properly.

Some of the metals we use are toxic, that's why we only ingest what we need and burn it away before sleep. Impure metals can be even worse and sometimes even kill. If he's getting metal from somewhere else, that isn't me or you, it won't be pure. He could be making himself sick.

When he doesn't have his copper on I can tell what metals he's burning. When we met he was burning tin and steel. I wouldn't be surprised if he tried to get pewter somewhere. Pewter is the hardest alloy to get right and can make you the sickest.

[a thoughtful pause] Now that I'm here he might try to get metals on his own if he hasn't already. He's been trying to impress me.

Because pewter contains lead. [And you can practically hear the oh Christ B( in his tone, because God dammit, Zane.]

I'll talk to him. Let me know if you notice anything else strange? I don't know who could be supplying him, but to say I don't have any suspicions would be inaccurate.
