You broke the contract to save Vin. Why didn't you break it to save your 'brother'?

To break the contract is unconscionable because it endangers our people.

I believed Vin would save the world, and the kandra with it.

And what basis did you have for that?

My reasons are my own.

[It had been more emotional than calculated, in the moment. But the reason, at the core of it, was true. The world had been ending, and Vin seemed like the only one even searching for a way to take it on. She was an allomancer who was not like other masters. She gave him hope.]

You had no idea I was capable of that when you commanded me to kill my kindred. I had no idea. I wasn't, then.
