[Kelsier smiles brightly to the feed. He waves a scarred hand at the camera.]

For those who I haven't personally irritated, my name is Kelsier. I'm dead. Well, I'm fairly certain I am.

I'm curious, how many of us know for certain we are dead? At home. Not here, of course, or I am a very articulate and lively corpse.

[SPAM FOR MARSH]

[Kelsier is the annoying little brother sometimes. Scratch that, all the time.

And today it comes as a knock on Marsh's door.]


[Greenhouse spam]

[Late into the evening, Kelsier is found in the greenhouse near a bed of a certain type of flower. Now and then, he says something to them. He sits on the floor.

Later into the night, he falls asleep there.]

[Kelsier? Where does he know that--oh. Right. This is that guy Vin says he should talk to.]

[He's not doing it because Vin said he should though. Vin can bite him right now. B|]

Rumor has it that's the case anyway.

That I'm a lively and articulate walking corpse?

Sure, why not? Better than most zombies.

I am certain of it. Two tons of gunpowder should not have left many survivors.

Yes, that is what it does. With gusto.

Somehow, I'm not the least bit surprised with your answer.

Oh I'm dead. I've died so many times, I'm almost out of fingers to count them on.

Was that here or at home?

[silvestris]

Eight were at home, but I hear if I stick around long enough, it'll even out. Why so curious?

I'm not dead.

In fact, aging slowly is part of my powers.

[onlysurvivor]

Well, I'm glad you're not dead.

Ah, I'm not all that surprised to hear that.

[permutates]

Why aren't you surprised?

[She finds him sleeping, when she wakes up and can't anymore, when she decides to go for a walk. It's dark and quiet. She feels compelled to speak in a whisper as she leans down to tug on his shoulder, as if she's in a library.]

Kelsier.

[onlysurvivor]

[He doesn't stir at first. He breathes deeply when he feels the tug and slowly comes around. He doesn't jolt awake. His eyes open and squints against the light.]

...Vin?

[indispensible]

It's me.

[She crouches at his side, listening to him carefully. He seems to be breathing right. He was really just sleeping.]

Why are you here?

[myironeyes]

[Aster answers before Marsh does. There is some very excited cheeping, because she is conspiring against him, and also because cockatiels are quite sociable. After a good fifteen seconds of shrill bird noises, Marsh mutters,]

It isn't locked.

[onlysurvivor]

[Kelsier lets himself in. He wiggles his fingers at the bird.] Hello little bird...

Marsh. [He waits a second then] You can't stay in here forever.

[myironeyes]

[She flies in his face, briefly, then retreats to Marsh's shoulder, and preens his hair a little possessively. He's sitting in a corner, back to the wall, knees bent in front of him.]

I won't.

[He's just not sure when he's going to do...anything.]

I think all the inmates are dead.
